Nuts and Bolts
Ingredients:
- ¾ lbs salted peanuts
- ½ lbs cashews
- ¾ lbs almonds
- ½ lbs pecans
- ½ lbs walnuts
- 1 lb spoon size shredded wheat
- ½ lbs honey nut cheerios
- 4½ cups cheezies
Glaze:
- ¾ cups melted butter
- 3 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
Directions:
- Combine nuts, cereal, and cheezies in large, oven safe pan. (We use our turkey roaster.)
- In another container melt butter and add glaze ingredients. Stir.
- Pour butter mixture over nuts and bolts, stir as you pour.
- Cook at 250º F for 1 hour. Stirring every 20 minutes.
This recipe works great for a snack, or we eat it for breakfast. Generally it is high in fiber and a lot of other healthy nutrients.
