Pineapple Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1½ cups of chicken
- 1 egg
- ¼ cornstarch
- oil for frying
- 20 oz can of pineapple
- ¾ cup of vinegar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ?? ketchup
- 1 tsp ginger
- ⅓ cup water
- 3 Tbsp corn starch
- 1½ tsp soy sauce
Directions:
- Cut up chicken and toss in egg to coat
- Add corn starch to chicken and toss
- Add oil to frying pan and borwn chicken
- Once cooked remove the chicken from pan
- Drain pineapple but keep syrup. Add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups
- Add pineapple, vinegar brown sugar ginger and kethchup to frying pan.
- Heat to boiling and then let simmer for 2 minutes
- Mix water and cornstarch and then add to sauce. Cook until thick and boil for 1 min)
- Add pineapple, soy sauce and chicken cook until warm.
- Serve with rice
